The HyperX cloud 2 Headset has great surround sound and ear comfort. The price is usually around $100 dollars but it’s well worth it. You can choose from colors red and gray. There’s a bar on your headset where you can turn your mic up or down, and also turn up your sound. You set it up by plugging the headset wire into your volume and sound control panel wich then plugs into your computers USB port. It’s very easy to set up.

Comfort
The HyperX Cloud 2 headset is very comfortable. It’s actually the most comfortable headset I’ve owned. If you plan to wear your headset for long periods of time this headset makes a difference. The headset is easy to adjust, and fits a large amount of head sizes. It stays in place on your head and it does not wobble. The top bar on the headset is padded and wrapped with leather. The HyperX Cloud 2 comes with two pairs of adjustable ear pads in cloth and leather. I prefer leather because it stays and fits on my ears perfectly. The mic can be moved anywhere you want it or removed completely from the headset. There is a long cord so you can game or work and not have to be right next to your computer. The headset is not water proof so try not to get it wet.
Sound performance
Sound performance is one of the main reasons you would buy this headset. The headset produces 7.1 virtual surround sound which allows you to hear from more than 2 points or directions. For Gamers, this feature will give you an advantage by helping you detect where an opponent is. To determine how well the surround sound works we ran a series of tests in Fortnite.
Test 1:
For the first test we simply wanted to determine if a listener could tell when the feature was turned on or off. The game was started in creative mode and the listener was blind folded and entered as a player. The tester joined as a second player. Next the tester would randomly turn the surround sound on or off on the listening players headset and then shoot at the listening player. The listening player would then provide feedback of whether they believed the surround sound was on or off. The test was repeated 10 times for two different listening players. The result was that 9 out of 10 times the listener correctly determined the on or off state of the surround sound.
Test 2: Detect direction of opponent with surround sound off
We tried this test where my brother would blindfold me with surround sound off. He would shoot at me and I would have to guess where he shot me from. The result was that one out of ten times I would get it correct. this shows with out surround sound it is not really going to help you figure out where a enemy is.
Test 3: Detect direction of opponent with surround sound on
We tried this test out by having the enemy shoot at me with my eyes closed. I tried to tell where the shot came from. Most of the time I would get it right.. 6 out of 10 we tested I got it right.
Microphone Quality
The microphone captures a clean crisp sound so if you are streaming or talking to someone you will have good mic quality. The mic comes with Noise cancellation which means if you scream in your mic it won’t be too loud for the other person.
A separate higher performance mic is not needed unless you are trying to record music vocals or if you are a popular streamer who has many viewers. For example, Nate Hill averages around 3k viewers and uses the Hyper X headset and a separate microphone.

The headset is placed in foam so it won’t be damaged in shipping. My favorite part is the bag it comes with. I like the bag because of the material it is in.
